Sony U50, U70P, U8G, U8C, U750P, and U71P

The Vaio U8G, U750, U71P, was probably the early form of tablet PC and was not a bad tablet to use. I think that it came around before its time, but then again a Windows tablet needs some work to be truly touch friendly. The U-series tablet had a good mouse and keys but with only resistive touch screen. These became good game emulators and were easy to carry around.

Sony U101 first true mini netbook UMPC

This was one notebook I got on my never ending quest for the ultimate UMPC (or probably just to satisfy my lust for new unique and cool gadgets). The U101 (U3, U5) were early starters of the UMPC or even netbook phenomena. Mostly, these devices were found in the Asian market place with only importers in the US or eBay being your only venues for acquiring this unique device. these units have been a big hit with the unix crowd with followings popping up over the Internet. The last couple of years this device has faded into old technology and information is limited with a few sites in Japanese or Chinese.
