One of the best, but rare mini laptop devices I acquired was the JVC Interlink. It was actually a similar branded model to a ASUS version. This unit was first brought to the market in early 2004 and really was the first true netbook. Perhaps it was before its time more probably the higher cost, but it did not take off like the ASUS EEE PC of the future.
JVC 7310 comes with a Centrino 1GHz, 40GB hard disk, built in WIFI, and up to 768mb RAM. If a PDA is not sufficient for your needs and a full blown laptop is too much, the JVC Interlink 7310 is a perfect compromise. This little marvel turns heads wherever it’s used. It has power to spare and is light and handy for the man on the go. *Specifications* Chipset: Intel 855GM L2 Cache: 1MB RAM (std/max): 256MB / 768MB Video Chip: Intel 855GM VRAM: 64MB (integrated/shared with main memory) Display: 8.9" TFT Resolution: 800 x 600 - 1024 x 600 pixels (Internal LCD) up to 2048 x 1536 pixels (External Monitor) Sound Card: Integrated stereo speaker Modem: 56K flex V.90 mini PCI fax/modem Integrated ports: Modem RJ-11; LAN RJ-45 (10/100); USB 2.0 (2) ; iLink (IEEE 1394; 4pin; Microphone-in (mono 1/8"); Headphone-out (stereo 1/8"); Monitor; Wi-Fi 802.11b 1 PCMCIA Type II slot Video Input: Monitor Connector Audio Input: Mini-plug Stereo Pointing Device: Pointing Stick Power Consumption: 60W Battery Life: 2 hours (internal battery) 5.5 hours (regular battery - included) 9.5 hours (extended battery - sold separately) A/C adapter: 100-240V Size: (W) 225mm× (H) 29.5mm× (D) 177mm 8.58 in x 1.16 in x 6.97 in Weight: 1.99 lbs / 902 g (internal battery) 2.37 lbs / 1075 g (standard battery - included) Come with: Power cable; Standard Battery
